Here is a video from today’s Armistice Parade in Hedon organised by the Hedon and District Branch of the Royal British Legion. It’s a bit shaky but the Hedon Blog promises that future video productions will be better!

At 28 pages its full of useful local information and features a front page article about the town’s Annual Christmas Lights Switch-On.

The festival of Hedon’s Christmas Lights 2009 will take place on Friday 27th November. The lights will be formally switched on at 6:30pm by the Town Mayor.

The Hedon Town Mayor will host the annual civic service and parade this coming Sunday 7th June 2009.
The Mayor, Councillor Ann Suggit, other civic dignitaries and the Humberside and Yorkshire Army Cadet band will begin the parade in the Hedon market place at 1.35pm followed by a service in St Augustine’s Church at 2pm.

What was happening in Hedon five years ago?

Hedon’s Mayor Councillor Mrs Ann Suggit will conduct the town’s traditional ‘penny throwing’ service on Thursday 21st May 2009.
