HOLDERNESS Labour Party announced yesterday who is to stand for the party in the local East Riding of Yorkshire Council elections in May 2015.
Three seats on the council are available in the South West Holderness Ward and the Labour Party has selected three Hedon residents to fight the election.
The candidates (pictured above left-to-right) are:
- Neil Black, a local businessman and Hedon Town Councillor for nearly 30 years
- Steve Gallant, a Managing Director for a consulting company and Secretary of the local Labour Party
- Brian Stockdale, a retired accountant
The sitting councillors elected in May 2011 (see results) are two Conservatives, Mike Bryan and John Dennis, and Independent Ann Suggit.
Also widely expected to make a challenge for one or more of the three seats are Independents and UKIP.
The local elections are to be held on the same day as the general election on Thursday 7th May 2015.
