THEY ARE back! The group of pub regulars – who once a year at Christmas time and only once a year are compelled to sing carols with great gusto at the Station Hotel on Souttergate, Hedon – will be gathering on Wednesday 17th December 2014 for their annual community sing-a-long!
The Hedon Carol Singers will be making song sheets available and the whole pub will be encouraged to join in with the festive carols!
It’s a very unusual Christmas tradition which has evolved over the last five years and it’s always popular and lots of fun – even the most vocally challenged amongst us get swept up in the atmosphere and feel inclined to belt out the best ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Ding, Dong, Merrily on High’.
Jackie Partis from the pub says that even if you don’t sing, the event will make you smile!
Expect the 6th annual Christmas Carols cacophony to start about 8:30pm’ish!
As usual ‘Norm’s cap’ will be passed around to raise money for a cancer-related charity.
