The Eagle’s flight by Peter Ainscough
He preached the eagle’s flight, the lion’s roar
And more. He scorned the feeble, quacking duck
And clucking hen that flees in fearful dread
When fox, the enemy, is round trying his luck.
Ready to fly the eagle’s wings are spread
And higher than the mountain heights he’ll soar.
And so for us when we our spirit free
To rise to heights that only God can see,
Achieving thus our God-willed destiny.
Peter says that ‘The Eagle’s Flight’ is based on a sermon given by Chris Fleming to Hedon Pentecostal Church in 2011.
