“Hedon Blog it!”

A LETTER from Sue Thorp in Preston reminded us on the Hedon Blog and HU12 Online – that we don’t know everything! Unless people tell us that is!

Sue writes:

“I would like to congratulate South Holderness Technology College (SHTC) on a fantastic production and performance of Beauty and the Beast. The cast were very professional, costumes were brilliant. Just a shame that more people weren’t aware of the performance to support these budding actors and singers.”

Thanks Sue. Our readers constantly tell us that they find out about activities in the area via the Blog. So it’s probably worthwhile for us to issue a reminder to Events Organisers: “Tell the Hedon Blog what you’re up to. Make sure you ‘Hedon Blog it!”

We carry our information about events in several ways:

  1. Plug them on the Blog’s What’s On? page (hundreds visit this page every month);
  2. and get them listed in our events listings (scroll to the bottom of this page to see events for today);
  3. and of course we can tell households in the area about upcoming events in the soon to be published ‘Herald’ – our community newspaper (see DEADLINE for first edition).
  4. If we know about an event we can even arrange for it to be previewed and reviewed by a photographer from us and/or the Holderness Gazette.

So, the moral of the SHTC performance may have been ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ – but let’s get more eyes looking at such productions in the first place.

  1. Im told Hedon Town councils events committee have cancelled the coach trip to Sewerby Hall, due to lack of interest, however they seem to have left some posters up advertising the event ?
