Election 2015

REMINDER – Hustings in Hedon – Thursday 30th April 2015 – St Augustine’s 7:30pm

ELECTION candidates for the Parliamentary seat of Beverley & Holderness will be taking part in a hustings in Hedon hosted by Hedon and District Churches Together.

St Augustines church goldenThe hustings will take place at St. Augustine’s Church, Church Lane, Hedon at 7:30pm onThursday 30th April 2015 which is a week before voting takes place on 7th May.

Church of England leaders nationally have challenged politicians to inspire people to vote and combat apathy and cynicism by offering “a fresh moral vision” of the kind of country we want to live in. The local hustings event organised by Churches Together will give a platform for each prospective Member of Parliament to rise to that challenge.

There was a massive turnout in Beverley for the hustings in the Minster on the 27th April as these Tweeted photos from Labour’s Margaret Pinder and Conservative Graham Stuart reveal.

Come on Hedon! We really need to pack St Augustine’s Church out for our event!
