THE LAST exhibition of 2015 at Hedon Museum is one you will not want to miss! The museum will be displaying the beautiful paintings of well-known local artist, Larry Malkin.
Malkin loves to experiment. Many will know of his sculpture in Welwick, commemorating East Yorkshire’s connections to the Gunpowder Plot. He also paints scenes on driftwood, but his favourite way to work, is on canvas.
Malkin has loved painting as long as he can remember, and comments that he was ‘born with a brush in his hand’. Inspired mostly by seascapes and landscapes, he has an incredible talent for telling stories through colour.
Malkin will be bringing his favourites to adorn the walls, and we are privileged to be hosting never before seen pieces of art. Magical images of birds with sunlight shining through their feathers, have been painted especially for this exhibition. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to see some of Larry Malkin’s finest works!
Exhibition runs from Wednesday 14th October to Saturday 14th November 2015.
Opening times are every Wednesday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Look for the notice boards around Hedon town centre on open days to guide you. FREE ADMISSION.
