Great Opening Night #HedonBiker – And more today!

Habitual Twist - headlining on Opening Night

Habitual Twist – headlining on Opening Night

A GREAT atmosphere was on offer at the opening gig night for the Hedon Biker Weekend. Three very different acts performed at the Haven Arms.

The Beautiful HousemartinFirst up was Mark Hogben from Hessle known as The Beautiful Housemartin (Facebook link). Mark modestly described himself as the ‘warm-up act’ but in actual fact performed a great selection of songs in tribute to The Beautiful South and The Housemartins.

Habitual Twist the 4-piece Rock and Blues covers band led by the distinctive voice of singer Charlene performed three sets – and those hearing the band for the first time will undoubtedly become fans. You can follow and ‘like’ the band on Facebook at Habitual Twist – they certainly deserve your like!

Wake up in VegasThe finishing act for the night – alas, playing for far too short a time; we wanted more! – were young and local band Wake Up In Vegas. The band of Chris, Dylan, Lawrence and John brought an army of young supporters with them who filled the dance floor as the first chords were played. An exciting band to watch and listen to. Again – you must follow them on Facebook and prepare to hear more from them! Wake Up in Vegas.

A great opening night. But later this afternoon, we have the Biker ‘Ride Out’ through Hedon and Holderness as ride-leader and Holderness Hi-Siders MCC club member Wendy Chambers explains:
