The #HedFest16 Organising Committee is continuing with its roadshow of ‘drop-ins’ to explain to residents about this summer’s Hedon Festival; what it means for the town, and how people can help out and ensure the festival is a great success.
Drop-ins have been arranged at:
- Nutmegs Cafe on Monday 9th May at 2pm,
- Queen’s Head public house on Tuesday 10th May at 6pm,
- Royal British Legion Club on Friday 13th May at 3.15pm.
One hour-long. Drop in at any time during the hour for a chat.
A drop-in took place at the St. Augustine’s Church, Hedon on Saturday morning with festival chairman David Thompson and churchwarden Sallie Nielsen greeting coffee morning visitors. Several festival wristbands were sold and one person volunteered to help knit and sew for the festival yarn bombing campaign which will aim to festoon the town’s street scene in bright and beautiful wool and cloth dressing for the festival.
Entry wristbands to #Hedfest16 have been kindly sponsored by Dennis Estate Agents. The ADVANCE prices are; £4 adults (green), £2 youth 6-16 (blue and yellow), family buy 2 adults, 2 youths for £10.
Look to buy your wristbands at the following locations in Hedon: The Haven Arms, The Queen’s Head, John Dennis Estate Agents… with street sales taking place on Saturday and Wednesday (Market Day) mornings, weather permitting.
The Hedon Festival takes place on Friday evening 12th August and from 12 noon on Saturday 13th August 2016.
HedFest is managed by an organising committee comprising of Hedon Town Council and Cornucopia Festivals and Entertainment and other volunteers.
